What is Diabetes And How do I diagnose it?
If I do have Diabetes, what are my options for recovery?
Diabetes gets diagnosed as either Type 1 or Type 2 and they are completely different types of Diabetes. Diabetes is essentially a deficiency or over-production of insulin in the body. Insulin is a hormone, produced by the pancreas. When your body produces too much insulin, your body becomes immune to it and the production of insulin no longer does what it is supposed to in your body.
If you have the opposite of this, a deficiency in insulin, then your body is similarly at a disadvantage and you will be experiencing symptoms of diabetes. Most often, a deficiency in insulin is called type 1 Diabetes and Type 2 Diabetes is too much insulin being created, usually eating and diet habits being the cause of Type 2 Diabetes.
Type 1 Diabetes is most often found in children and young adults. It is considered hereditary and is the more severe of the two. Because of the body’s inability to produce insulin, to treat this form of Diabetes, insulin shots have been used. This type of Diabetes has also been referred to as insulin dependent Diabetes.
Type 2 Diabetes is actually much more common in America and makes up 90% of all Diabetes cases.
Diabetes in this case is caused mostly by diet. A high carbohydrate diet, like the average American meal, and a high sugar intake creates this disease over time. Diabetes is caused by the diet, and can be handled with the same.
The trick is reading through the massive amount of false information that is out there. Very often you will be told to take a pill, and when that doesn’t work, or the condition worsens, you will simply be told to take another pill and eventually a whole medicine cabinet and injections of insulin.
Many times doctors and physicians will want to prescribe drug after drug for a diabetes patient. Often, this doesn’t handle the underlying situation that is actually causing the abnormal blood sugar levels and at Wellness Support Network, we have cut through the false information and actually found the simple solution that works. The body works best with real food nutrients. Rather than giving the body more drugs to combat something that is related to your food intake, the correct food nutrients that correct the underlying situation is what is required. A doctor and/or physician should always be consulted. Some times there are proper medications that need to be taken for certain conditions.
